Question Ceramic Tile Trivets

I have some leftover 5x7 ceramic tiles and want to make trivets for a craft fair that an animal shelter I volunteer for will be holding. If I stamp with Stazon do I need to treat them in any way? Do they need to be baked or have a sealant applied?

Thanks so much!

I usually stamp with Staz-On and then spray with a sealant (I use Krylon Crystal Clear or Krylon Matte, depending on the look). Just to be safe. I know some people say they don't need to be, but better safe than sorry! HTH

Both points of view here - I stamp with Stazon but do not seal. If it is used as a coaster, you want it to be somewhat absorbent, not sealed.

And for a trivet, if actually used for something very hot, I would be afraid the sealant would stick to the pan or maybe melt or something.

Good point. I hadn't thought about the melting. Maybe I'll just stamp them and hit them with the heat gun. Thanks for your suggestions!
