A customer of mine yesterday asked me a question that I didn't know how to answer...What is the best way to store your rubber stamps in their plastic cases? She noticed that I have a habit of leaving mine rubber side up...I told her that was just because after I clean them I put them back in their case and sometimes they aren't all the way dry.... and also with new stamp sets this way I know which ones have been used already.... PLease help!!!! Thanks!!
I put mine in the plastic case they come in. Usually rubber side down. I store the plastic cases in those Sterilite stackable drawers. I will eventually move to a bookcase or something like that.

I think it depends on how you have your stamps set up. Since mine are on shelves close to the floor, with the name facing out, I have mine stored rubber side down in the case so I can easily make sure the stamp I'm looking for "belongs" to that set. Sometimes I mix up A Greeting For All Reasons with Sketch An Event in my head, and I need to peek for just the "right" heart I need to use! For me, if I stored my rubber side up, it would be too tempting for me to put the stamp inside the case to get it off my work table, thinking "I'll just clean it off later..." and never do it. Storing it rubber side down makes me clean it right away. But the added bonus of seeing the image on the handle makes it look tidy to me. Just my storage solution, I've seen others out there!!
Mine are all stored in a rather large rubbermaid tote until my shelves are done....but normally they're rubber side down in the box....unless I've just cleaned it (as Mel said), then it would be rubber side up!
Once my shelves are up they'll go up on them ~ label side out for easy reference. Now if only DH would prioritize correctly, they'd already be done!! LOL
Hi Sister Debbi!!! ;)

I store mine on the side in Sterlite drawers so that I can read what is in them at a glance... I have very limited space so I need to store them that way for now!! but............. hopefully soon will have my own room for stampin stuff then think I might like them on shelves so dont' have to do the hastle of the drawer thing pulling it all the way out to see what stamps are in the back!!
