Default Basic Stamping Class

I am teaching a basic stamping class next month. So far I am covering:
different types of stamps
mounting options
storage options
how to ink your stamp
heat embossing
tyoes of inks (with chart!)
caring for stamps
masking

anything else I should add?

these are all scrappers so they are well versed in trimmers and tapes.

What basic stuff would you have liked to see in a stamp class?

Looks like a good list.

I'd make sure you try to keep it pretty simple--beginning stampers can get overwhelmed VERY easily and not remember a thing you've said if you give them too much info, KWIM?

Make sure you have handouts that reiterate what you've said--it will help the info sink in better if they have something to refer to later when you're not there.

Good luck--it's SO fun to share this stampin' passion with newbies!!!

Maybe cover a few basic coloring choices for outline stamps like markers, chalks, blender pens, colored pencils.

thanks girls. Looks like I've got a good class. I did add coloring with markers and watercolor pencils with the blender pen.

This is a great list of things to cover with new stampers. I have several new stampers so these will come in very handy. Thanks for your help.
