If you have the word window punch it makes a great pocket for a tag from the punch.

Here is the link to the card I made on VSN. I turned the tags upside down to make shingles. So simple, slightly time consuming, but worth the end result!

Here is a link to what I made for the VSN tag challenge:

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

The challenge for VSN was to make something unique with the tag punch so if you search the gallery using JANVSNH you should find lots of other great ideas.

My Demo, Knew, was showing me a trick with the tag punch the other day. She pre-cut her paper in strips to the exact width that the tag punch creates. Then she could slip the paper through the punch and let it come out the top some extra length before punching. Hard to explain in words.
What it did was punch the angled top part and left the bottom uncut so that you could cut it longer if you want or even tear off the bottom edge.
It was pretty cool!

I'm a pretty visual learner so I'm not quite getting this. I understand the final result, saw some neat things in the gallery which looked like they did this, but I don't get how you keep the bottom of the tag-punch from cutting the paper? Any one have pictures?

My door was done like that! you jus have to barely press down on the punch that way you dont cut all the way through to the bottom, Let me know if you need more help.

TFS,

I cut small strips of paper and folded them then attached them to the back of the tags with the fold going between tags. There's probably an easier way to do this, but I was in a time crunch with VSN and that's what came to mind. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions.

You can also use them to make cute 'little' shakers. Just punch on the front of a folded piece of cardstock...make your shaker as usual. I'm planning to do this as a M&T for my workshop next week. And, they fit on the front of the
3 X 3's. I only did a 'prototype' so nothing to upload, yet. HTH
