Default recycle rubber scraps?

demos or non demos out there, besides reusing for custom backgrounds, as dimensionals or other re-uses for the scraps of rubber.... has ANYONE found a place that will recycle them somehow?? it just pains me to throw it away but I can't keep it anymore.......

Funny how fast the pile grows isnt it...I have not thought about perhaps putting bags of it in the recycle bin...wonder if they would take it.
blessings.

You know, I've been meaning to contact one of those companies that makes the rubber "turf" that is used on playgrounds. I wouldn't want to have to ship the rubber anywhere because it's heavy, but I wonder if I found a local one if they could use it. I need to put that on my "to do" list - to look into it. I, too, hate throwing it away.

I used some to create a background stamp to do the mosaic technique. It doesnt' take much, but perhaps you could pass some along to others who want. I know that my demo said a lot of people are keeping the scraps to the unmounted stamps in the case to help keep track of smaller pieces.

I hate throwing away the rubber as well. I can only use so many mosaic stamps. I should toss it in my recycling bin to see if they'll take it as well. I also have about 300 wood blocks I need to get rid of too. I've kept a few to make things with, but the reason I unmounted was to get rid of all that wood. I haven't found anyone who wants it to mount stamps - seems to be everyone is unmounting.
