Default Embossing Powders

Has anyone been successful with grinding down regular embossing powder to create a finer powder? Just a crazy idea...I dont need a large amount of fine powder

I have thought about trying that, but what has kept me from actually doing it is that I wouldn't want to use my mortar & pestle again for spices. (I'm not going to buy one for embossing powder UNLESS I run across one at a thrift store or garage sale for really cheap, lol!)
