Default Scrubber

Hey...has anyone tried putting their scrubber pads in the dishwasher? Think it would kill them completely?

I did and the results were great - very clean! I washed them on the top rack with a load of well-rinsed dishes....

It should be fine, just take it out before the heat dry cycle.

Do you put them in with dishes? I'm worried about getting ink residue on my dishes or making the dishes unsafe to eat from.

I've put mine through and they clean fine but I've noticed that mine is fraying along the edges (I use it a lot!) and my dishwasher isn't the hottest thing in twon so it gets a little bit of food in it which kinda grosses me out so I've taken to hand washing it again.

Just make sure you don't put them in with dishes containing broccoli. Enough said.

Oh hey Chris...before you put the hat in the dishwasher, I use a plastic hat washer form from WalMart....I dont think it would hurt the hat too much to just be in there....but the hat form keeps the bill from bending. They're about 2.99.

I should add...my scrubber is disgusting. I mean....totally nasty. I've washed it by hand and with a brush, but that doesnt seem to get it at all. I think that I've been stamping enough that I need to buy another set of pads and clean them each night....they take flipping forever to dry in my house though because I have to have a humidifier running all the time for my allergies!

I run mine in the dishwasher and use the heat cycle. I've had them for a year and just am starting to see a corner peel off. But not enough for me to stop! I may have to replace in a few months but don't mind, because it's so much easier to throw them in there and not worry about cleaning them by hand!
