Scoring blade for paper trimmer

Just wondering if a scoring blade is needed in the paper trimmer or can
I use my old dull blade that came with it to score? Thanks, Lori

Hi Lori,

You have a blade that is so dull that it doesn't rip the paper? Then go for it. LOL
I would use a scoring blade. You only have to buy it once.

Have a great day. Hugs and smiles.

If you have a bone folder you can use it to score with your paper trimmer. Just use the bone folder in the groove on the trimmer where the cutter slides. Hope this makes sense :? Good luck.

Just make sure you don't score too hard. I made that mistake and tore the paper. I use the Fiskar's cutter.

I would definitely use the scorer!! I got one in a two-pack that had an extra blade and scorer in it. It was only a couple of dollars at Michael's because I had a coupon, but I use it ALL the time. I used it on some cheap "Walmart" cardstock and it tore, but I never tear the Stampin Up cardstock using it. But I still get the Walmart cardstock, to experiment on. :D
