Default How to remove design from tin?

Does anyone know how to remove the design from a tin? I would like for it to be bare tin and leave that way no altering so I need a technique that doesn't mark the tin.

Try nail polish remover WITH acetone in it....that removes all kinds of stuff.

try that little rubber eraser thing (I bought mine from SU). Its an adhesive remover, eraser, but I have gotten words off of cardboard so maybe it will work on things on metal too?

I think at one time I read on TexasJodyLynn's blog that she removed the design by heating the tin over the stove--holding it with tongs.....and it burned the image off, then she just cleaned off the tin with an eraser! I could be wrong.....but, that is what sticks in my mind! HTH!

Just make sure you do this with adequate ventilation, either by an open window, outdoors, or with the fan over your stove on.
