Sample of paper piecing punch

Everyone's been asking what's been made with the new paper piecing punch. Here's my first card....my anniversary card to my husband. He loved it because it was so rustic looking. Can't wait to do some out of the box type cards with this punch. Anyone else have samples?

Your card is awesome! The paper piecing punch added just the right touch!

Great cards, all of them! I wondered about that punch. Do you get all the shapes with one punch and then just do another set with a different card stock and then mix and match?

Thanks for sharing,

For some reason, I got an inspiration for party hats when I saw this one:

I can just picture using some bold brights and doing party hats and blow ticklers (I forget what they are called in America but you blow in them and they honk and the paper unfurls and the curls up again) with this punch.

Mine finally shipped today!! I can't wait. Then I'll try to make the card I just envisioned. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks for all the great ideas!! I just got mine today and will have to play tonight. Don't know how, but missed every single example when posted to the gallery!

So, thanks for providing the links! Great job to you both!!

These cards are great :!: However, I don't get it; where are the holes? I can see the few obvious ones, but are the end of those strips of papers inserted into rectangular holes or something?

lesarapp 10-15-2004 05:17 PM

There aren't any holes. These were made with the new paper piecing punch from the Stampin'Up! catalog. They just barely made the punches available.
It punches 3 of those shapes at a time, each just a little different. They look really cool lined up with vellum over the top so the shapes show through. To get the different colors, you just punch it several times out of different colors of paper. Also I have seen that people are getting the paper piecing punch and the paper piercing punch that is sold in the new crafters tool kit, mixed up. That one punches holes in the paper. I combined the two in this example.

Hope that helps.

 blonde moment  And I'm a brunette :!:  I was reading another thread about the hole punching kit just before I read this one and obviously I didn't think of the shapes punches :!:  What a geek I am. Guess I'd better get off now before I aquire real "hoof and mouth disease" from another post.
