I think you are talking about the difference between regular price and preferred pricing. Regular price is the price you will pay online without a demo, and preferred pricing is the price you pay when you log into a demo's site and order through her. If you are shopping from the Clearance Rack, neither one of those prices refers to the original catalog price!

I haven't ordered from SU in a long time, over a year! But I did place an order that was just delivered yesterday for some great deals that I found on the Clearance Rack. One of the best deals I got was for the Pirate Party kit that I had wanted for my son for some time. It was originally around $16, but I got it for $2.99! For that price I ordered 4! The Taffeta ribbon was originally $6.95, on sale for $2.99. The circle and star brads were $5.95, on sale for $1.49. I think those prices are slashed pretty good!

Yes, Grits, in the clearance rack, click on the specific item and you will see the original catalog price on the item's page. There are some awesome deals. I am a sucker for the ribbon, myself!

Just got my box of clearance items--couldn't believe the great prices!

Allistamps123 10-21-2010 05:37 AM

Yes, my WONDERFUL box of goodies will be a Christmas present from my fiance! It will be so fun to open that box and by that time I will have forgotten half of the stuff I ordered!

Those crocheted flowers that were $9.99 were a steal at $1.99 and I would probably never get build-a-brad at the full price but that's coming too. All-in-all about $120.00 worth of stuff for about $42.00.

I told my co-worker about the clearance and she ordered about $100.00 worth. She doubled everything she ordered and her mom will get a BIG box of goodies at Christmas that she will love!

It's almost like those grab bags when we were little but they never seemed to have great stuff in them. These goodie boxes will!

I bought a bunch more cardstock for $1.49 per package, DSP $3.99 per package and the corduroy buttons too. I spent a lot of money but the bargains were just too good to pass up.
blessings.

I just ordered the mini library clips, some brads and the red and ivory striped ribbon...2 rolls! I think i paid 9/99 for that ribbon last year...looks great for Christmas. Great deals! I also ordered 5 boxes for 99 cents...good size for gift card, candy and of course a cute Christmas tag and ribbon.

If our current demo does not have online store can we still get preferred pricing or do we need to go with a demo with online store access?

Bellegirl 10-21-2010 03:51 PM

It's my understanding that for the best pricing, you need to go with a demo with online store access...I'm pretty sure you'll pay more for shipping if you don't...but hopefully someone will chime in here that knows for certain.

I loved that sale. I did buy 6 things of cardstock, and i tried some of
there markers. I really wanted a couple of those punches they had but
i must of missed those. One ink pad and reinker. Couldn't beat those prices.

If you order through SU's main site and choose your demo's name from the demo finder there, you will get the preferred pricing on the merchandise, but minimum shipping is higher by a couple bucks and there are no hostess rewards available should your order go high enough to earn them normally. Your demo will still get partial commission for your order. If you go through another demo who DOES have the demo website, you don't pay the higher minimum shipping charge and you would earn the rewards. Your own demo, however, will not get any credit for the sale.

SU's main purpose with online ordering is to provide it for people who really don't want to be involved in the normal demo relationship SU provides. It's set up so it won't draw too many customers away from the demos who really are their bread and butter.

I'll bet a lot of people spent more from the Clearance Rack than they planned . However with those low prices a person would be foolish not to buy things they know they will use.
Last time I checked Dusty Durango items were still hanging around. It appears that was not a popular color LOL

Leslie30 10-21-2010 05:36 PM

Thanks for the info. I ordered through the site of my former demo who moved last year. I'm sure she appreciates that I spent way more than I planned! (Now need to go grab somethings to list to sell to make up for that!)

I actually placed two orders since I was in such a hurry that I didn't get everything I wanted the first time. Does anyone know if they will combine my orders if I call customer service?
