Reviews on Dahle Paper Trimmers

Hi everyone, I am considering purchasing one of the Dahle Premium paper trimmers and was wondering if anyone owns one or has used one and could give me some feedback as to quality. I purchased one of the Carl Cutters about 6 months ago and can't get a straight cut to save my life from it. I have also considered the Genesis which I have heard is the top of the line but I need something sooner than they can get me one and I prefer to be able to cut more sheets at one time than the Genesis can.

I would just like your honest opinions as to quality and if you can get a darn straight cut from the Dahle.

Thanks in advance for your help
sh

Order the Genesis. The wait and money are well worth it. I can cut more than one sheet at a time with it. And the cuts are STRAIGHT! Buy a cheap guillotine style trimmer to use until your Genesis arrives. You can PM me if you have any questions.

I purchased a Dahle to replace my old fiskars - though I guess I can still use it if I want wavy cuts

I've been happy with the Dahle. It does tend to put a very slight curl downward on the cut side, but I notice that when I don't push down, this doesn't happen. So I think it's just user error.

Downsides -
It's a little heavy
It's a little loud when cutting
It doesn't have the swing out arm line the fiskars did and the paper holder is not marked with inches.

Pluses -
It seems very sturdy
I ordered one with the additional decorative blades
I've not had a crooked cut yet

HTH!
