Question Color families

Can someone tell me the advantages for storing stamps in color families?

I like them by color groupings, i.e. all blues together, reds, etc.

I'm open to new ideas, just wondering how you store yours?

I store mine by color family only because if there by color (instead of group) I just cant go grab it. I'd have to llok more cardeful. When there by family And I know them by heart it's much easier for me. JMO..HTH....

What kind of color families are you talking about? Do you mean by section in the catalog and the colors on the edges of the pages? Do you color code your stamps with stickers or something?

I am assuming you meant storing your ink pads.... Do what works for you. I am not sure if I have ever been told I should store them in their families. Mine are usually sprawled all over my desk!! If storing them by shades of colors works best for you- stick with it!!!!
I have mine stacked in the boxes they came in on a book shelf, so I can read the labels and just grab whichever I need.
