Default repeat embossing?

Does it work to go back & try to add a second layer of embossing to something you've embossed, just to make the embossing stand out more? Has anyone tried this?

Betsy

Betsy - I haven't tried it on a stamped image, but I've done it on some cardstock buckles that I punched out. The trick is to add the second layer of powder while the first is still hot. The powder will stick to the hot layer without adding more ink or versamark.

I know this works if you're trying to build up a puddle of ep to stamp into as well; I'm not sure how it would work on a line image, though. The paper around the image might be hot enough to make the second layer of powder cling and melt where you don't want it to.

I believe you can also apply Versamark for the EP to stick to.

If you do this, use a Versamarker (the pen) to trace over the image, or you'll get Versamark all over the cardstock too, not just the lined/embossed part.

Betsy,

I embossed images several times before. You will get a nice thick layer of embossing powder. It looks very pretty.

Just make sure the last layer of embossing powder is still warm when adding the next one. That way the embossing powder will stick to the image.
