No tips....except dye it black...and maybe wear all black....hey, that's an idea. I dropped an Eggplant Envy pad on my chest tonight...while wearing a light tan shirt. sigh...
BTW, what kind of material is the sweater made from...cotton, acrylic, etc.?
First time I opened my black ink pad it broke into two pieces. The ink pad hit my antique table, bounced off my favorite pair of pants and then landed upside down on the wood floor.
The ink never really came off of the wood but a tide spin brush and 3 wash cycles removed the ink from my cotton pants.
Have you tried that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to get the ink off of your hardwood floor? I read on here somewhere about someone's kid who took a black permanent marker and sribbled all over her wood table and she used that and it took it right off. So when her husband got home she had to demonstrate it in front of him and I guess he looked at her like she was crazy until she showed him how she got it off. Try it. It might work. Let us know if you do.
I just did the same thing the other night. I got black ink all over the sleeve of a white cotton shirt. I went to reach across the table and must have just applied enough pressure to leave a square outline on my sleeve. So, I took it off right away and used the Clorox bleach pen on it and threw it in the wash. I had to do it twice before it actually all came out.
Last week, my sister was closing the Basic Black Classic Ink pad and it came apart and landed on the front of her sweater. I got the ink out, but it took 3 washings! I put SHOUT on the 3 black stains and then washed it in cold water. The stains faded, but were still there. So I then used SHOUT and washed it two more times in HOT water. The stains came out completely. So the key is to HOT water, SHOUT, and multiple washings. Tell your client to continue to wash it until the spot is gone.
Hairspray always works for me with regular (from a pen) ink stains, although I haven't tried it with SU ink. Someone also told me to try milk. Either one would be worth a try!
I would try the bleach pen if it was white. If it was another color, try spray and wash. I have a wood table and the black pad was dropped on it, a magic eraser took it off.
My dog got blood on my white shirt one day. any way i keep the Magic eraser by my sink in the kitchen, well guess what, it got the blood out as if it was never there with no damage to the fabric.
I use the magic eraser for everything even my inkyfingers after stamping.
best part is it is chemical free and cleanser free. its just magic.
Last week, I had my first pad fall upside down on my carpet (white of course) in my stamping room. (It used to be my bedroom) I didn't see it fall and only realized it when my shoe hit it and smeared it across the carpet, it was Lovely Lilac and pretty heavy staining. The Magic Eraser didn't really work but I popped open my Denatured Alcohol and put a little on a cotton ball and rubbed it gently. It worked like a charm.
That may not be a great answer for a sweater but I figured if it would remove Basic Black from the stamp, it should clean regular ink off of just about any surface.
Try "Kiss Off." I picked mine up at A.C. Moore back in the art section (by the oil paints if I recall correctly). I actually bought mine in an artist pack type thing that also came with a little bar of soap that's fabulous for cleaning up after a few hours of stamping - although I consider glorious green cuticles a badge of honor
