I think that there is a page in the galleries dedicate to just this question - also, mamakimberly posts a crop challenge each week - I think you can find those in the gallery, too...
HTH!

short on ideas... join a swap and make plenty of one page.. and get a book full of others. Add your pictures and your good to go, or use them for inspiration. There are tons of 6x6 swaps in the forum.

I like using them for special days and occasions-if you are doing one for your new grandbaby, I know a Simply Scrappin' kit SU sells will be enough to complete 1 6x6 album and everything coordinates

I love these books 'cuz it seems like I just fly through them... wham, bam, BOOM! They're done! The galleries definitely have great ideas, and I like what Britta suggested. I generally try to focus them on just one event, like a trip or a holiday.

After 11 years as a demo, guess I'm not so"new" anymore!
Thank you Britta! I actually have the simply scrappin' kit but hadn't thought of just limiting myself to the kit and going for it. Sometimes I am truly overwelmed by all the choices....I'll post when I've taken the first step.....

I really like 6 X 6 albums because you won't be overwhelmed with having to fill space. I find they are fast and easy to make and Oh so cute!
Start with simple decisions like colours. Pick a few colours that you would like to use on your album. Those simply scrappin kits are fantatic!
Next find a stamp set that is versatile and you could use throughout the album. Have fun!!
You should do a 6X6 about YOU! I went to a class at CKC and the gal that did the workshop said that we all need to take the challenge and complete at least one scapbook each year about ourselves and pass it on to children, husband, parents, brothers/sisters, friends, etc. And what you should include in your scrapbook are things that these people may not know about you. Like...what you spend your money on, who you work with, things you fear, who is your hero. She gave us a list of 20+ ideas to get us started.
Thank you Britta! I actually have the simply scrappin' kit but hadn't thought of just limiting myself to the kit and going for it. Sometimes I am truly overwelmed by all the choices....I'll post when I've taken the first step.....
You might even check teh gallery. I know there are many pages posted with teh In Full Bloom hostess kit, as well as teh Christmas one (can't remember the name)
You could also use the basic sketches from mamakimberly and use the scrappin' kit with those.
