Default Re-inker Warning

Just a heads up so no one else will have an afternoon like I had - I was adding ink to a dry Colorbox Chalk pad when the tip of the re-inker bottle blew off and shot ink everywhere. It took me 3 hours to clean it up and now my work table needs to be sanded and revarnished. My fingernails & cuticles have been brown for 3 days. From now on I'll consider this an "outside only" job. There was no warning and the bottle didn't seem to be clogged. Maybe my explosion will be a warning to others!

I had that happen with a pigment ink reinker. Now I put my inkpad in a plastic bag...

Thanks for the heads up!
I have Distress reinkers and love the eyedropper that comes with them.
The only other reinkers I've used are Staz-On and Memento.
I think I'll follow Linda's lead about using a plastic bag.

OOOhh...Nothing's more of a bummer than cleaning up a mess. I will watch out for this possiblity, especially since I have light carpet in my craft room. Wish I had hard flooring, but it does stop bouncing eyelets.

Oh that is a bummer, sorry you had to deal with that mess but just wanted to say thanks for posting about it. I had never dreamed that would happen but will be cautious from now on when reinking an ink pad.
