Default Random Thanks and Appreciation

SCS is filled with stories of sharing and caring. Would anyone care to share a story or publicly thank a SCS member for their wonderful acts of sheer kindness?

I am a new SCS member, yet I have been the grateful recipient of encouragement, advice, support, cards, and even care packages from strangers who have become friends. There are several members to whom I have personally expressed thanks, but it doesn't feel like enough...

For one, I would like to thank Siberianstamper. There are no words to express her kindness. I was a perfect stranger but her generous spirit scooped me up and treated me like a perfect friend. She has graciously given me the opportunity to create beautiful cards, which I could not have done before.

Karen, aka Threadbear - sent me the cutest little bunny stamp just because I really liked it.

So sweet.

Amber Shaw sent me the cuttlebug folder "Winter Houses" because I was looking for a company that sold it and I was going to use it for my Christmas cards in 2009.
I was in complete shock and appreciation of her kind act.

I have another person who sent me three or four packs of retired SU paper, reinker, and ink pads because I mentioned I always loved Buckaroo Blue and Blue Bayou but hadn't ordered them when they were in-colors. I'll have to look up her name. THANKS to both of U!

Thousands of cards were sent to my mother, during her 3 1/2 years of battling cancer. The people here at SCS kept her spirits up and were a blessing to us. Mother knew, through their generous spirits, that she was wrapped in a warm hug each time she received a beautiful handcrafted card.

When she died, a week before Christmas, our family received over 4000 handcrafted cards. We put them on display at the church, where hundreds of family members, friends and church members got to see the wonderful outpouring of love from SCS.

Everyone here is a treasured friend. We are blessed to have one another.

I was sitting at the kitchen table inconsolable, after eye surgery went awry, when an incredible care package arrived from Anna. Just inside the top was 2 bright yellow boxes of peeps. How did she know I needed cheered up?! I slouched on the couch and enjoyed the marshmallow treats and sobbed. Her sweet gesture and this cheery little box of peeps was the absolute best medicine to soothe my soul! I'm unexpectedly going back into surgery tonight (complications). I still have one box of peeps waiting for me on the kitchen table when I get back. Something to look forward to ...

I'd like to give a shout-out to Susan (LateBlossom) for her help and support during a situation with my DS.

Susan and I participate in the thread for Parents with Autistic Children here on SCS.

A few months ago, I had a difficult situation with transportation at DS's school and I PM'd Susan for her advice. She offered great advice and periodically checked with me to see how things were coming along.

Thanks, Susan, for your help and support

What a great thread, B-Lou Moon! And you're welcome, Lorraine. I'm just glad the situation turned out well.

So many SCSers have done me kindnesses over the years (oh, my--so many!), but most recently flatfish sent me totally out of the blue a pack of gold shimmer cardstock, kegbo sent me diecut bookmarks because she knows I don't own a die cut machine, and kstamper sent me a get well card when I thought I'd never get well from a series of winter colds.

Yes, indeed. SCSers are the BEST!

Way back in 2004, my Dad passed away after loosing his battle with lung cancer...My Niece sent me a beautiful Foundation Angel with the Eskimo Saying that is the first in my signature...

A wonderful SCS member Sassy30 saw me post about and said she had a stamp that said the same...I asked here where she got it so I could get on and the next thing I knew, she mailed me the stamp and the matching With Sympathy stamp...

I still have that stamp an I always will...It sits on the shelf in my Rubber Room and I think of here every time I walk into the room and see it...

Kindness from the Heart...

I don't see her here anymore, but I still know she is out there and I think of her often...

Thank you for your 'shout out', Betty! I hope the complications go away soon and your eyes feel better...
I have received a lot of advice and support through my divorce from the fellow SCS members.
I helped out several people, too... Let the love and support continue!!!

There have been lots of people on this site that have been kind to me; sharing answers, giving advice or sharing tutorials. And I love looking at the gallery of cards and projects when I've had a trying day; all the pretty cards and projects cheer me up. I think they are all wonderful!
B'Lou Moon, I pray your eye surgery is successful and you have a quick recovery!!! So glad you started this thread.

There are so many wonderful people here that I call 'Friend'....caring, inspiring and encouraging.
Years ago when I first found this place I was a looker. Then I thought, what the heck, create a gallery. At first it was truly intimidating. I was encouraged by so many...one special lady that really was the most supportive and helped me to get back into stamping after I lost my mom to cancer with a heartbreaking struggle was Maddy Mason. She always had a kind comment or she would pm me. Just to think that she would take time to talk to me meant so much! I don't think she is here anymore...I know she was fighting a cancer battle herself. If anyone knows how or where she is, I would love to know. She created the most interesting and imaginative cards too.
thanks Maddy....you came at a time I really needed someone.

I forgot to say.....I really want to thank all the 'behind the scenes' people that make this site run everyday. So many of us take for granted and use this site as our life line to creating and I really appreciate clicking a button and finding the link to all my friends.

Thanks to everyone for being so caring and concerned about me, while I am recuperating from illness and eye surgery. You are all so wonderful!
