Default RAK & Swap card etiquette

In browsing through the gallery I was surprised to see so many cards that were uploaded today that were made by someone other than the person who uploaded it! This got me thinking, (& suddenly I feel like Carrie from Sex in the City!!) "Is it ok to upload someone elses card"? Are there rules about doing this? Is it proper to check with the maker to see if she's ok with it being seen by the masses, (or maybe, has she already posted it here?)? Some of the cards were RAK's and others were from swaps;
I'd really like some opinions (as I've recently rec'd a few cards & also, I'm in my 1st swap next month); Thanks in advance! Kathy

Default

Of corse it's my opinion:

Personally I don't upload photos of cards I have received BUT I have no problem with people doing it. I think it's nice they share what they got- as for using swaps as RAKs I do it that's why I swapped to get cute cards I could use- I try and make a note to the receiver that it was a swap and I didn't make it. But in the scheme of life I am not to worried about CASE'ing a card someone CASE'ing one of mine etc for me it's just not a big deal.

Smile Swap cards....

I asked permission from each member of the Swap the I was in before I uploaded their cards. Most people in the group had no camera or scanner.
My disappointment was that after I "moved" the cards to the swap category, they all still remain in my gallery too. I didn't know it worked that way until after the fact.
The swap was great fun though, and I love all the cards.
Here's the swap gallery...
