Default color box petal point chalk pads

Okay, I purchased 2 of these petal point chalk pad things. . . forgive me for asking, but is it supposed to look like chalk when you stamp with these? Do you use it like a normal stamp pad or embossing pad?
Thanks!
Trish

I use them as normal pads. I think (going on memory as haven't used in a little while) that they dry too fast to use with embossing powder. But you could try and see what happens. I love these and bought every color!!!

I use the petal points all the time. I find them much easier to use to ink a stamp than the regular pad. The problem being there are not as many colors. I also like the softness of the color when stamped.

They should look like regular ink when stamped, only softer. I like that they dry slower also, which is great because you can use them to emboss with.

Thanks everyone! I wasn't sure if I was missing something that I was supposed to know with these chalk pads.

These are just the coolest inks ever! Actually, I had the Cats Eye versions of these inks when I first started stamping - I have all 38 colors. I just wish SU carried more of them. It would be awesome if they could match all our colors!! I think the term "chalk" is confusing to some people. These inks are much more opaque, to the point where I thought that something was wrong with the Memories brand dye inks I was buying!!
