Wow, 2000 cards. I hope you sell every one! I am doing a craft show on November 19, but not all stamped stuff. I sell little girls' beaded crowns and wands mostly (and now red hat wands) and sometimes tutus and fakey fur stoles when I have the time to make them. I use the pretty princess set to make cards and tags to go with those. I haven't made enough cards to do a show of just that!

2000?? I am getting ready for my first ever Craft fair. I plan on making about 100 cards, a few dozen pre made 12x12 scrap pages and trying to sell off my old tired retired stamp sets. Also am considering bringing my Sizzix and dies and offering die cuts at 50 cents a sheet of paper , someone else suggested 25 cents a cut! What do you think I should charge? I am thinking of 2 dollars a card & $4 a 12 x 12 page. What does everyone else charge? The fair itself is costing me $25 for 6 hours, they provide the table and ask for a donation for their raffle. Is that about what others are doing and charging? I have only been into this for 6 months and as I said it's my first time. I guess you could call me a Virgin. I also plan on offering free tattoos for the kiddies there to get the mom's over to my table and giving away the mini's, advertising a raffle for peoples information......you know, email, name& number............and giving a small retired set as the gift. I will also have the big Idea Books for sale. I am open to any and all suggestions. Feel free to PM me! Thanks Kim

Why Breed or Buy & Let Rescue Dogs Die?
2,000 cards...wow I can't imagine. Last year I did a craft fair and made about 300 cards, I sold about 20 and that was it. This year I am concentrating on everything else that is stamped besides cards since they didn't sell well for me. I am selling stamped scarfs, stamped white boards, stamped clipcoards, stamped tiles, stamped post-it-note holders, stamped "tootha fairy" tins, and some stamped candles. My fair isn't until late November so I haven't had any sleepless nights yet but I am sure I will a month from now.
Good luck, just out of curiosity...how much do you sell them for? I tried $2 each since they were layered 4-5 times, and had a lot of embellishments but marked down by day 2 to $1.50 and still had trouble. Let me know your secret!
I have been out of the craft fair loop for a few years. Good luck to all of you. They just turned out not to be worth it. So many people look at it as homemade and say they can do that (not that they will). I have sold cards at the office. People came to me and asked if I could make them something, one lady wanted cards with Angels and thankfully I had a stamp and made four cards for all her sisters. She paid me $3 a card without hesitation. I had fairly good luck with the coaster tiles, but even that wasn't great.
Julyn- I feel your pain as I also made sets of cards with all different seasons and out of 20 sets, I sold 1 (to a friend).
The peole here in Iowa...are addicted..I hoipe they will still be addicted at this show with the economy the way it is...I usually sell my cards from $1.75-$4.00 depending on what is on them....I haven't have the prices stop me yet and I usuallly sell around 1000 cards or more... this is the fisrt time that I will do a show this big..so I didn't know how many cards to make...I figure a normal small town show with 500- 1000 people though the door...I make ??? amount...And the show I'm getting ready for has 11,000- 15,000 peole through the door...I took my suppy by 1000's...When I started getting ready in late July... my goal was 10,000 cards...but i'm know where near that amount.
I also sell...christmas tags 20 for $1.00
snowman poop .75 a bag
decorated notecubes $7.50
Die cuts and punchies various prices
picture frames ??? not sure what to price them at this year
My snowman poop is the most popular item I have, along with my cards...I can only hope that I sell OUT$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.. still dreaming....

I did our fair last year with a friend and sold cards, tiles and tags. We sold enough to cover the cost of the booth and made some money. The fair goes for two weekends and we only did one weekend. This year we decided not to do it and to enjoy both weekends with our families - it was a good decision - it rainedone entire weekend and not much foot traffic for the other. What a sad loss it was for the crafters :(
I know I couldn't make the 2000 cards, my brain would be mush, not that it isn't halfway there on a normal day.
Snowman poop is a small bag with mini marshmallows in it.. with a header with the saying: Heard you've been naughty so here's the scoop, all you get for christmas is snoman poop...
I stamp a fat snowman on the front just over the saying... very big seller...

I am doing my first craft show on October 22nd too! It is just from 12 - 5 pm. I am hoping to have 200 cards made, some singles and some sets. I want to do more shows, but know that not every one is the same. What sells at one doesn't always sell at another. My mother has been doing craft shows for years. I am also going to have sizzix cuts, tiles & snowman poop. I will let you all know how it goes!
I'm doing a small craft show this weekend. I made tooth fairy tins, Halloween treat cans (from the small fruit cans), magnets, push pins, composition book journals, picture frames, and a few card packs. Oh, I still need to make the Pumpkin Poop bags! I have no idea what will sell, so I'm not making a lot of any one thing. I cannot imagine making 2000+ cards!!! I procrastinate enough as it is....I wouldn't get done with that many for years!
