Are the prisma's everyone seems to love the watercolor pencils or the regular colored pencils? I saw both at Michael's on sale this week. Also, how do you use them with gamsol~ I'm not even sure what gamsol is? Thanks for your help!!
Regular -- to blend a watercolor pencil all you need is a wet paintbrush. You blend the color from the pencil with a paper stump (found in the aisle with the drawing pencils) soaked in odorless mineral spirits. I want to say there's a tutorial in the Resources section, but don't quote me! ;)

Lori Lynn - Be sure to check Ebay for Prisma Pencils. I got a set of 72 for less than $35.00 including shipping. They were brand new - not a thing wrong with them and everything was in the box including the eraser and sharpener.

if you buy them on ebay, make sure and double check the description carefully. Rumor has it that someone out there is selling sets that have the right number of pencils, but have duplicates of some of the colors.
I use my regular (from WalMart) colored pencils with oderless mineral spirits(gamsol but not the name brand) and a stump and it works wonderfully. I didn't want to spend alot of money for my colored pencils as I have all of SU and the crayons and wasn't sure if I really needed to invest that much money in more colored pencils or in something that would do the same as the crayons and watercolor pencils. OK enough from me.
The other day I was at Staples and bought a set of prisma's called scholar. They were only 22.00 for 60. Then I went to Kent building supplies and bought some odorless mineral spirits to use. They seem to be working fine so far.
