Question for Long Time Stampers....
Great question for those who have been stamping a really long time. If you could bring back any stamp company that has gone by the wayside, what company would it be? So many to choose from, which one would you bring back if you could?
PSX, I'm so glad I bought so many when I first started stamping. Their designs are timeless.
Yup, my guess is that PSX will get the most votes. Check eBay---they sell for huge prices. I went to a used stamp sale once and the lg. botanicals were under lock & key in a glass cabinet.
Mine would be psx, I live in Australia it is really hard to find these stamps, ebay would be the only place to buy them, some go for $100 plus. I love them but I can't justify paying that amount for one stamp.
PSX - this thread may be unanimous on this...
Posh Impressions. Since Dee Gruenig retired and closed up shop (s), the stamping world has not been the same to me.

My vote is for PSX. The botanical series especially and now of course I wish I had bought more of them. Also the bird series is wonderful. Plus they had some great elaborate alphabet stamps which I still use.
PSX for me also. Especially the birds and the flowers.
Another vote for PSX!
PSX, hands down. When my mom and I started stamping, PSX were just about the only thing available to us. Their stamps were such good quality and images just beautiful.
PSX.
Another vote for PSX. I won't part with the ones I have.
I love PSX, but I also loved & really miss the Mostly Animals stamp line. I just adored that company.
Hooks, Lines, and Inkers! I know Dianne J Hook is still active, selling clipart and download-able art, but it's not the same. I only discovered her stamps long after she had already stopped selling them!! Now I can only find one here or there. I love her country, cutesy style.
Before I even looked at the replies, PSX immediately came to mind. LOL We all seem to LOVE PSX!!!
PSX was the first the first company that came to mind, no doubt since the first stamp that I purchased was form PSX. However I would love to see Delafied Rubber Stamps return as well!

Well, what do you know!! I googled PSX and I actually have a few PSX stamps! Only I never bought them from any one place, so I had associated each image with the individual place I bought them from, instead of PSX!!
The first two that came to mind have already been mentioned....PSX and Posh. What about Stampa Barbara? MOMR?
What is MOMR?

Stamp Barbara images are available through Stamp A Mania. They began reintroducing them last year so not everything is available. As for MOMR- they were also around. I stumbled upon a company that bought that line. At the moment I can not recall the name, but I can try to find out again if anyone is interested.

If anyone has the rights to PSX images, they are in possession of $$$ because they would be snapped up! Another vote for PSX
I hope people don't get tired of me, but I just had to add one more company that I would LOVE to see come back- Rubber Stamps of America!!! They had stamps for everything and done beautifully.

PSX and Delafield
I started with PSX too, I still have several and was going to sell them, but I unmounted them, so I wasn't sure people would still want them.
I'll name a couple I miss: Sweet Celebrations and Yvonne Albriton.
I have never had a PSX, but have seen some of their stamps and I like what I have seen. But I have seen them on Ebay at outrageous prices. Cindy |

If a person wants them as an "investment" then they probably wouldn't consider unmounted images, kwim. |

PSX definitely..

Elzybells! Penny Black have released some of the Elzybells stamps - mostly ones I already have - but would just love to have NEW Elzybells designs too. Oh, I MISS my Elzybells! And another vote for PSX which were the first stamps I ever bought.
PSX and Uptown Rubber Stamps, particularly the ones by Sandi Gore Evans (love her snowmen!)
PSX for sure!
Linda...you mentioned Uptown Rubber Stamps and it took me on a trip down nostalgia lane. Uptown began as a local rubber stamp store here in my hometown. That's where I began my stamping career about 30 years ago! I was so sad when they shut the store and moved to Washington State. Then I kinda lost track of them. |
Hot Potatoes! I liked when Mary O'Neill was on the Carol Duvall Show.
Whatever happened to Yvonne Albriton? I loved her stamps.
PSX.....for those that have never had the privilege to stamp with one, you don't know what you're missing.
WOW, just one, not me here are my most missed
PSX Delafield Posh Impressions Ann-ticipations Mostly Animals Yes, Pigs can Fly/Rubber Poet Printworks All Night Media Azadi Earles Stamp of Excellence Museum of Modern Rubber Embossing Arts SonLight Okay, basically I miss a lot of the older companies, but I have enough of their images to keep me busy Fun thread, very nostaligic. |
Ooh, yes! Azadi Earle.
And All Night Media. Forgot about them. |
Another PSX fan here...... wish I had bought more while I could afford them.
Have to go with the majority- PSX again. I would love to get my inky mitts on their Buddha rubber stamp- I've seen it selling for some ludicrous prices. I want it, but not at ANY price. I do wish someone would buy up the PSX catalogue- they'd make a fortune.
