Is there a nice looking nethod to add a border to a card without have to use the full size of the card? For example, my image layer is 4"x5.75" to make an A6 card. I want to use glitter cardstock but don't want to waste so much hidden cardstock that falls behind the image layer. Does anyone have any suggestions for doing this so that it looks nice? Maybe an easy way to make mitered corners? Thanks.
I often use the next size down in nesting dies, if I want to conserve the card I am using for matting layers; so that essentially I am layering my image panel onto a frame rather than a solid piece. But that only works if your image is on reasonably good cardstock so that the partial layer underneath doesn't mark it.

I do the same. If I don't have a nesting die in the right size or shape, I just just my paper trimmer to cut out an inside piece from my card stock anyway. I can use it for a smaller frame, or even to die cut tags or shapes etc. Always hate to waste my "good" paper by layering over it all!

Me, too, especially with this particular paper it is Cricut 12x12 Glitter paper and that stuff is kind of pricey! And I'm making 24 cards.
Yes, my die is not the right size and it doesn't have the corners I want so am going to cut it 4.5"x6.25" then cut out the center. That will work perfectly.

I know you are using a particular paper but just fyi....I use DS tape and put my own glitter on it. I just did that with some pre-prints that were too narrow.

Just wondering if you have to spray the glitter after you adhere to the tape, so that it won't come off in the mail? I have some double sided tape and a LOT of glitter, but am afraid that it won't stay on well.

No, in my experience if you burnish it well and brush off any excess, it stays stuck. I use the fine and superfine glitters like this, I haven't tried the coarser ones.

One reason I really like the Cricut glitter cardstock is that the glitter doesn't come off. If you rub over it with your hand, no loose glitter. I may see a few flakes when its being cut but very minimal. Thanks for the tips on card borders!
Here is a sample of the cards I am making. All i need to do now is to put "snow" onto the background. I tried the brush splatter but got it too thin. Am trying it again this morning. If it doesn't work, I'm going to use an EF. Sorry, posting pics nust still be a problem. I'll post to my gallery when it's finished.

Whenever I'm gluing anything to glittered cardstock, I use liquid glue.
I've been using double sided Scor-tape when I adhere to glitter card stock. Using liquid glue is always a big mess when it comes to my using it. I think I need something with a smaller nozzle

The look of this in real life is beautiful, I still have the card that inspired me to try it.
Wow! That lace look with the glitter is just spectacular! I think though, that if I actually ever made one of these I would't want to send it out to anyone. I'd just sit and admire it all day and get nothing else done, haha! I do like the mixed glitter look though, especially for fairies and magic. Thanks for the inspiration.
A portion of the sentiment has individual letters. What a pain. Everytime I get to that part, I tell myself "I do not like this glue!". But I started it, so have to finish. 7 panels out of 25 completed. Progress 🙃

Yep. Burnish a lot, ultra fine glitter and generally speaking it is not going anywhere. I find Elizabeth crafts works well for this and they have a bazillion colors.
If you want to do a whole panel for a BG...and want to be SUPER sure then I guess you could hit it with a fast shot of spray glue in a very ventilated area or brush on glossy accents...
I have more trouble with glitter papers that shed. Lawn Fawn's is very good that way though. I am also liking glitter holo papers.
Does the Elizabeth Craft glitter paper shed? I went to the Cricut store online to buy more glitter paper and apparently they no longer carry the one color packs. I was very disappointed by that. They used to have 10 sheet packs. I'm out of the silver pack now so am looking for a good replacement brand that doesn't shed glitter. American Crafts is so-so as there is some shedding.
