Question for Canadian Demo's...

Hi all,

Do you have to pay duty or customs on stampin up when you get your shipments? Does UPS cover it, does stampin up cover it, or do we cover it? Thanks!

Canadian Demos Question

We do not have to pay duty or customs. I assume SU does that when the order is cleared in Fredricton.

whew, I was worried for a minute there... no brokerage fees either?

rreinhardt 02-15-2005 02:12 PM

Nope, just 10% s&h and tax.

janabannana 02-15-2005 02:15 PM

Thanks! How does the GST work? Can you tell I am a newbie? We charge GST, and then do what with it? Just sent it in and stampin up takes care of it?

We collect S&H as well as all applicable taxes from the customer, remit those same amounts to SU when the order is placed, and then they deal with Revenue/Taxation Canada (whatever agency does it).

Does that help? :)

Wonderful, thanks so much!

I heard along time ago that if a company has an office in Canada that there is no duty. My orders are directed from Richmond to Calgary then Edmonton don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Mine clear customs in either Fredrickton or Richmond...usually Richmond. Takes forever to get here though!
