Default Magazine/Submission/Copyright quandry

Forever ago (well over a year) I participated in an on-line swap where they sent a copy of all the cards to Stampers Sampler. I'd forgotten about them sending in a copy it'd been so long ago and I personally hadn't mailed it in so it didn't stick out in my mind. Anyways...I came across a contest recently that wanted "aged" cards and I sent a duplicate of one of the cards that was also submitted to SS. Honestly, I'd forgotten about it being submitted somewhere else. Well, the new Take Ten has my card(s) in it.

So...should I

a) do nothing
b) do nothing unless I get notification of winning the contest (snowball's chance in hell :-) ) and THEN tell them it has been published
c) be precoscious (however you spell it) and assume I might win and send them a note of some sort saying it's been published

I really don't like SS's way of dealing with submissions. I like with RS that they will send you your cards back so you know they are not going to use them. With SS they hold onto them forever and then "surprise" you are in an issue a year or more later.

They published the card you sent them and they keep the original. (I am under the impression all their submissions are photographed by their group from the actual cards.) If they accept electronic images, please let me know!!!

While I think circulating a card is not condusive to being published, I can see the circumstances where a second in your "series" of this style card was submitted somewhere else.

I think you are fine and hope you win!

Congratulations on getting in Take Ten!

Please pm me and let me know what page you are on - I would love to see your card.

I'd send a note a long telling them it has been published.

I think it would be tougher to deal with after you won... and if there is some stipulation that it can't have been published, they can remove the card from the contest.
