What does "etsy" mean?

Not sure why they picked that name...what it means!

I heard somewhere that is means You Sell To Everybody. But backwards. Don't ask me where I heard that cause I can't remember.

And, it's probably wrong. LOL!

I have never heard that one, I like it!
I've had the same question before....to me it's just a great place to sell my
things...gives me a reason to stamp and use my supplies ;)
