genie bags.

i love making my genie bags and i usually just give them away. i want to go to a craft show and sell them. it is really a open house at a elementary school with about 1000 kids. how many should i make and how much should i charge per? also, how many designs should i make?

any other advice is certainly welcome.

What's a genie bag?? I'm sure I probably know this, but I'm clueless.

Basically just a lunch sack with two pieces of decorated cardstock glued to either side. I think the name came from the username of the first person to post one here.

I think if you made a matching tag and tissue for it, you could get $1.00 a bag easy. Think about the ones you buy in the party outlet stores, a bag that size would at least be $1.00, maybe even $1.99.

How much do the lunch bags cost each? I know that one piece of colored cardstock is ~19 cents, Grosgrain Ribbon = 3 cents for 4 inches, 3 x 3 notecard tag would cost ~4 cents (made from 12x12 paper)

So... if the lunch bag was less than 14 cents a piece, then you would be making 60-70% profit.
