question about cards for troops?

I'm pulling together cards for troops and I have a question. Some of my cards do have matching envelopes so I'd like to try to keep them together. I do have cellophane 'envelopes' that I purchased from Stamp on This.

Does anyone know if the heat would be a problem for the cellophane?

does anyone know if there are disadvantages OR advantages for using the cellophane wrappers?

I haven't tried the cellophane envelopes in the mail yet. If it was me, I would use regular envelopes just to be on the safe side. Thats really a nice thing you are doing for them!
