Question Searching for a good blue ink

I'm trying to find a sort of faded blue to use for a striped background on a card. A true blue, not too green or purple. I want it to be pretty pale but solid, not missing spots. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much.

Studio Calico's "Ice Ice Baby" is a true pale blue without green or violet, not too "baby blue" sweet either. I have it in their dye ink, and just used it for a paw print "quiet" background.

My first inks were Studio Calico's and even after using many other companies' inks, still enjoy them a lot. They remind me of Hero Arts Shadow inks.

Thanks for the recommendation. It does look like a nice blue.

Sure. I just found a 2014 video about them by Jennifer McGuire. There were only 12 colors then, but it should give you a sense of the ink properties, if you feel like watching. Video: Studio Calico Ink + BIG Giveaway + Shopping Discount - Jennifer McGuire Ink

Thanks again. Watched Jennifer's video and then another one and another one, and she showed some Hero inks that reminded me of a place I hadn't checked, and I have just the blue I was looking for. Yay. It was Hero Arts Soft Stone. Has some gray, maybe, but looks good with the red I was using. Thanks so much for helping out.

Oh, neat. I'll have to look at that one - I hadn't heard of it. I'm glad you posted your question, because I had semi-forgotten how Studio Calico inks reminded me of some Shadow inks, and many have refills. (I say many, not all, because I don't see a couple on the site.) It can be worthwhile getting on their email list since sometimes they have specials. If you're ever looking for a nice navy, Deja Blue is a fave.

The shopping part of the site is kind of odd, but the inks and other matching products are under their Color Theory brand.

Glad you found a good blue.
