So, my vote is more "say it with stamps" with matching fonts.
I wholeheartedly agree with this suggestion!!

I agree with everyone above. My wish would be to have some stamp packages that are just verses and/or quotes. I would also like to see Hodpodge Hardware split up so that we could buy the certain items we like.

A new nativity set with the focus on Christ - along with a Bible verse about His Birth.

Sympathy sentiments

As Jeanne S said - more sentiments like the Hostess set of Small Script.

More images for masculine cards.

A larger variety of ribbon colors.

I know I'm just repeating what many others have written - but maybe that's saying something.

I'd like to see the neutral color group available in a paper assortment pack, just like the other color groups.

More stamps I can use for the guys in my life: husband, son, no daughter.

A better dog set! And don't draw in spots on the dog, one can always add those, but my dog is not spotted (lab mix).

I'd like to see lower case versions of Headline and Letterpress alphas. Also, please bring back the Tall Tales alpha for the catalog. I'm sorry I missed that one.

I would like to see:
-More Handwritten Script words, sentiments(like small script) words
-More mature background papers with design elements--more on the idea of the Holiday Mini papers
-Ribbon stamps like Hero Arts(I love em)
-More assortment of JUMBO Wheels(cut back on the flowers)
-novelty paper clip, accessory sets with matching ribbons that match a stamp set--and only need qtys of 24-36 in 4 colors
-glitter glue in stampin up colors
-more BG stamps that provide texture, like canvas, cheesecloth
--more BG stamps that are not floral and can be used for masculine occasions and people
-a classy not cutsy graduation set with quotes about the future
-more Masculine sets ( I don't mean fishing, golfing, nature)
-quote sets that speaks to events ie; birth, death, marriage, hard time etc...
-Innie and Outie messages(suggested above) please
-sympathy set without flowers
-more mature religious christmas stamps with classy design and realistic faces if people are used
-novelty ribbon
-silk threads in more colors
-a close evaluation on the single word stamps added to sets--and the sentiments added to everyday sets. Many are the same, and need NEWNESS--maybe stay away from ex:bliss, delight, forever-type and shift to Good for you, I'm proud of you, From both of us, may your marriage......
-Heritage group sets, nostalgia
-Genealogy and family history is BIG in scrapbooking--need stamps for that, corner punches, papers!!
----word stamps similar to flexible phrases but have words of families and relationships, journey, travel, the past

Great ideas here. I'd especially like to see ribbon variety pkgs with less yardage. Textured cardstock in all colors. Bigger tag punch. Neutrals paper assortment pack. Christmas Cardinal & Cold Play stamp sets.

Default great ideas and a few of mine

Wow... what a great idea to start a list. I love everyone's ideas.

The things I would like to see are another military set that has HELICOPTERS in it. I would love a set with Welcome Home, Be Safe, I proud of my "Marine" (or insert sailor, soldier, etc.). Thank you for your sacrifices, Support our troops, and the names of the branches if the military: Marines, Navy, Airforce, Army, Coast Guard.

I would also love to see a career set, Welcome, Congratulations on your promotion, Congratulations on your new Job, Congratulations on your retirement, You'll be missed, Good bye, You did It!, Way to Go!, etc.

I agree on the more dogs sets. Maybe a breed all about it, i.e. I love my (insert breed).

I would love to see the precut paper like the ones in the Holiday and Winter mini available all the time in all the colors with envelopes. One of my customers greatest concerns is the time it takes to cut all the paper, I know they are willing to pay to have it done for them.

I would love to see some clear stationery boxes. I would like to see the eyelets with an o to buy one color. i.e. I want to buy 200 black without buying white, silver and gold.

I know I am forgetting a bunch, but that was the main things I thought of.

Happy stampin,!
Cindy

I would like to see a travel highlights stamp set. It could have a series of famous landmarks. You could have a North American set with the Golden Gate Bridge, the White House, Statue of Liberty, Niagra Falls and other famous landmarks.

You could then do a set for Europe and have Big Ben/Tower of London, Eiffel Tower, Colloseum, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Stonehenge. All the highlights of Europe.

It would also be really nice if they were not too 'collage style' in their looks.

I really love the previous idea of the thank-you word background stamp with it all in different languages and fonts. You can also have the words overlaping and going in all different directions. It would look amazing!

I would love a hockey stamp set as well, and a martini/margarita glass set.

If they are willing to pay for it, I know I have seen this on ebay. People sell pre-cut cs in all different sizes in all of the colors. I know it wouldn't benefit you, as a demo, and I have no idea if it is legal, but I know I have seen it there.

Default 06/07 sets

I am loving the idea of smaller rolls of ribbon OR sets with a small amount of each of the colors!

I would like to see bulk packs of CS in the more popular colors

I like the neutral multipack idea

i WOULD LIKE TO BUY BRADS AND EYELETS IN SINGLE COLORS

A Lacrosse set (unlike the page in the catty that has a scrapbook page using a tennis ball on the Lacrosse page..... LOL)

A set with school mascotts- like Tigers, Panthers, etc...

I think a small kit with pre-cut paper to make cards of a certain design would be great for beginners...... Just a thought. (Like the kits that they sell now, but with a card design and all of the paper pre-cut). If SU made these kits in general ideas- eg birthday, Thanks, etc... I think people would love them

Military sets- all divisions of the armed forces, a police set

Love the tag punches- and stamps to go along with them

Smaller minimum's for people who want to consider being hobby demo's.... just a thought.....

Shelly

Oh, fun . . . this thread is coming around again.

If I didn't already imagine larger tag punches: me too! More nesting punches, too.

Also, I'd like to see a set of realistic tropical fish and butterflies that you can colour. Not cartoony or simplistic.

I am not sure how much impact our list can have on the new catalog for this July. Having worked in the graphic business, I know that these things are planned months ahead to allow for creation of items, photos, writing copy (information), layout, proofing and finally the final printing then shipping to SU. Needless to say, the items to be included would have to be decided on long before. But just in case there is time left...I would love to see more stamps with sentiments for the inside of cards. I have heard many state that that is the hardest part of making their own cards.

I would like to see more embellishments. I think Brads would be a good choice because any one can use them, you don't need special tools. Crystals and flowers are always a good coice as well. Masculine stamp sets!! And stamp sets with geometric shapes.

I want to buy more sophisticated masculine sets. Something for older guys that are not into fishing, hunting or sports.

Would love more sets like Thinking of father with a vintage or collage look to it. Maybe a set with classic cars or ships in a collage style background. More landscape or scenic type stamps like Northwoods makes would be great too.

Also, would buy more sets from the artist who did Equestrian Dreams, Ships Ahoy and Antique Auto. Those sets have fantastic artwork. Didn't see anything in the current catalog that is comparable to the artwork in these sets.

To be honest I didn't buy any of the stamps from the current catalog. So much of what's in the catalog is just like the sets I already have and I already have enough flowers and holiday stamps to last for many years so I am no longer buying those types of sets.

More saying stamps would be nice too. A set of thinking of you, hello, hi, just a note in plain old Courier font would be great.

I'm new to SU so I don't know if these have appeared before:

Girlfriend theme! ex: You go girl! Hi, girlfriend! etc.

Motivational phrases, modern, updated: ex. Way to go! I new you could do it! awesome news! Suprise! Amazing! etc

Postcard stamp-to stamp the back of a card so it looks and works like a postcard

cooking theme-to use on recipes, recipe books & files

Music related! More! ALL facets!

horticultural, botanical foliage textures good patterns (not just flowers!)

The great thing about the new catalog coming out this summer is it will have SO many more NEW sets!! Since the hostess sets won't be in the new catty, and very few of the mini sets, that will leave lots of room for brand new sets like we are discussing. I can't wait!!!

I would like:

...to be able to create a set of sentiments a-la-carte style, instead pre-made sets (although they probably do this to get you to buy more sets).

...more Bible Scripture verses, not just philosophical phrases. I send a lot of cards to people who need encouragement from God. And have someone who is familiar with the Bible pick out the verses.

...a Shepherd and sheep set.

...a special catalog of stamps from the past, as someone suggested

Thanks for asking.

Of course, . . . but this thread started in September. The first wave of suggestions would have been in time. These latest suggestions are indeed too late for the next catalogue, but there are mini catalogues and next year's catalogue . . .

Wow, lots of great suggestions here. A little late to the party, but my wish list would include:

Less cutesy, cheesy, cartoonish, and retro images and more that are elegant and vintage style.

ALSO:

--French greeting set available in the US
--Medieval Set (knights, castle, dragon, etc. that isn’t cutesy or cheesy)
--Elegant cat set (not cutesy – more in the style of “Sketches by the Sea”)
--English cottages/garden sentiments
--Mardi Gras!
--Faeries that aren’t cutesy or cheesy…something more elegant and serene
--Cowboy set (for friends). I know they had one a few years ago, and then a kiddy set after that, but I think we need another “grown up” set.
--I know they also once had Egyptian, Greek and Celtic sets. I would love to see something along this line again.

--Someone wanted art type stamps such as Monet, Degas, and Da Vinci. I would love that, as well as something for book lovers and/or writers. I would love to see a “reading” set, something simple yet elegant, not cheesy, maybe with related sayings that would be perfect for bookmarks.

--Agree with needing more patriotic sets. I do like this year’s “Land That I Love,” but like others would like to see something with fireworks, song verses, and other patriotic images. How about images of Mount Rushmore, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument, Golden gate Bridge…that sort of thing?

--And as Charmed suggested, a European landmark set would also be awesome.

--More holidays other than Christmas, especially Thanksgiving, Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, Valentine’s Day – again, nothing cutesy or cheesy. (And unlike some, I prefer sets that aren’t super religious.)

--I also agree with those who wanted a “drink” set, different types of clocks (more vintage style…or something sketchy/brushstroke that includes a grandfather, cuckoo, alarm, mantle clock, etc), more affordable sentiment sets like the “Small Script” hostess set, more masculine sets that aren’t outdoorsy, and the faux postage set idea was also good.

--SELL THE TAG PUNCH SEPERATELY! Okay, I love the idea of the tag punch, but I don’t like that it’s currently only available in a $40 kit. I don’t really care for the tag stamps in the kit, nor do I need the stampin’ spots, but do like the Sell-a-bration accessory kit. Just give me the punch, please, in a couple different sizes, then offer a few accessory stamps for it every year.

--Neutral paper pack. Why do they sell all other color families in bulk packs except this one?

--KathyC mentioned wanting a mixed set of masculine images: 1, train, 1 tractor, a motorcycle AND a classic car. Add a boat to that (maybe two--a sail boat and a row boat) and it would be perfect!

--Also like the month/day set ideas, like the seasons one in the holiday mini.

--Santakitty asked for “BG stamp with Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays in many languages and a BG stamp with THANK YOU in many languages” – YES! Also like someone else’s suggestion of “peace” in many languages.

--It sounds like a LOT of people would like a “Vegas” set, too.

Oh, and I agree with so many others – let’s get rid of those creepy (un)charming children already. They’re just downright freaky.

I would love to see a Boy Scout set and a Girl Scout set. I would love to see more masculine sets. I also like the wonderful words set but find them too big and enjoy the hostess stamp set with smaller words. Would love more words included in a permanent set.

I would love to see one catalogue printed with a coupon in it for $1000 worth of free products.

colored eyelets in the SU color families! I love the idea of the fairy stamps as well---something very romantic, dreamy and classic, not childish.

I would like to see the buffet idea done with the word sets. There are so many stamps in the All year cheer that you would never use, and it would be nice if you could choose the ones that you really want.

I am dying because I never got Tall Tales Alphabet! It is by far the cutest letters! It would be nice to have a smaller version to match it too.

I love the big letters and would love to see more.
A new coffee set would be nice too.
And acrylic, clear stamps are fabu! Is there any chance that Stampin up will start goign that route?

Too late for my suggestions, I fear but here it goes:

*TWINKLING H2Os!!!!
*5-10 yd, ,ribbon spools
*more gingham colors
*a set with "I love you" in lots of fonts, not just "love" or "love ya"
*a set with dragons, like a realistic Chinese dragon
*a horseshoe roller
*horse set done like Summer by the sea, with a girl/woman and her horse
*another accesory set for Load of Love: pulling a horse trailer (just horsin' around!), a boat (gone fishin/sailing)...what else could you tow?
