I'm looking for something to put my cards in to prevent them from being soiled when handled, and I was wondering if the cellophane bags from SU are designed for this. It doesn't say in the catalog what type of closure they have. I've seen some people use a bag that folds over very nicely and sticks on the back side. Where can I buy these? TIA
The clear envelopes in the SU catty are sized to fit a standard 4.25 x 5.5 card. The envelope flap has a pull tab that exposes a sticky strip so you can adhere the flap down. You can mail the cards in these but I use mine to store cards I want to keep or use as samples.
There are other places that sell these envelopes, but the SU ones are pretty good quality.
I love www.clearbags.com
You can request a free catalogue. They have everything, in every size. I always get the ones with the adhesive on the bag, not the flap so it doesn't stick to the card when it is removed from the bag. I also use their bookmark sleeves to protect the bookmarks. Three of us pool are orders to share the shipping. I recently posted some pics in my gallery of craftshow items and the card bags and bookmark sleeves are from clearbags.
Thanks Diane and CAmomof2. Unique packaging is by far the best prices I've seen. And great timing, I just came on to look for the very same thing. Thanks.
Just also wanted to say that www.clearbags.com also has clear card jackets that protect the front and back of the card but allow the card to be opened. These are great if you want folks to see the inside of the card.

I use clear plastic bags that I buy from Walmart. They are treat bags found in the cake baking section right next to the birthday party items. The bags measure 5" x 11". I just cut some off of the top and fold it over. I can't remember how much they cost- I think they are 20 bags for around $1. It looks like the bags I am buying cost more, but I don't use them often.
I'm not sure where you live but Dollerama in Canada has some in their scrapbooking aisle. They are a bit bigger than the standard A2 size but you get 25 for $1!
