PTI upcoming release

Okay, I like PTI - a lot. Most months I can't get over how broke I'm going to be with the new releases because everything I see looks good. A few months there's not that much. So far, I've only seen a few of the sneak peeks for May's release, and I can honestly say that I'm going to be soooo broke! PTI is blowing me away with all the great sets (lots that can be great guy cards and projects) but it's the dies and the texture plates that are getting me! I go to Nicole's blog ( http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/ ) and then go to her designers' blogs to see what they've done. I've been so impressed with the talent. I've always liked it, but this month so far (and there are several days left before the release) I'm in awe. If Nicole was blown away by the response of the dies and such before and had to order tons more, then she better get really ready for this month's - if my reaction to the sneak peeks is any indication. Amazing upcoming products!

dmaggt 05-11-2010 06:09 AM

I too, am very impressed. Haven't been there yet today, but really want the textured dies. I don't do the release night ordering so will probably have to wait because they will probably be sold out right away. I am anxiously awaiting the color to be released this month.

kikikaren 05-11-2010 06:51 AM

I have to admit, I was unimpressed with 90% of PTI's releases for a good year, until last month. Now I'm loving what's coming out! The dies are brilliant! I hate to cut things out so they're perfect. I'm hoping they come out with more to fit current sets as well.

juliemlacey 05-11-2010 06:55 AM

I'm always blown away and I'm totally PSYCHED for this month's release! :)

The color this month is ***Simply Chartreuse ***

Nichole shows the felt here in today's post: http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/ (Scroll down to 100% Genuine card)

Other DT members stamped with the ink on some of their posts today too.

Looking good and like another month of awesome new releases!!!

LOVE love LoVe PTI!!!!

Like the new color. I've seen it quite a bit in fashions and, for lack of a better word, have been calling it LiteBrite Olive as it is brighter and lighter than plain olive. The samples on the blog are quite fabulous.

The new color is so pretty! I was excited to see that this morning...I have been holding my order from last month because so much was sold out and I am planning to have a double sized order this month...I am ready to BUY! Love their new little dies at $5.00 each too...the embossing plates are yummy too! Is it time to BUY yet...lol Love Love Love Papertrey.
blessings.

I love the fillable frames stamp set and coordinating die and I love the new color, but I'm not exactly loving what I am seeing of everything else. I am okay with that, because last month, I had to buy absolutely everything. I think this month, I will be able to just buy the fillable frames stuff and new color stuff, and then I can also buy some of the older sets that are on my wish list. I do like the texture plates, but I just can't decide if I really need them.

geogymnast82 05-11-2010 08:49 AM

I can't wait to see more of the arrow stuff (the Get to the Point set) to see what all it includes. I love working with arrows. I liked what I was seeing until I saw the texture plates - then I knew I was done, no hope of recovery. I liked every one I saw. Again, I'm amazed at the creativity of what her designers do with the stuff. I can't wait to get the balloon die, too. When I see the outline of the shape, all I can think about is drawing in on my own the inside of a lightbulb and all the fun cards (or sarcastic cards) I could make with it. I can't wait to see what the next several days have in store.

Dragonwold 05-11-2010 09:21 AM

I would love to buy some of there stuff, everyone raves about them. But I find there shipping to be quite high (shipping to Canada)

creatingisfun 05-11-2010 09:35 AM

loving the dies, havent bought PTI in months, maybe this month I can get the dies ;)

hobbywoman 05-11-2010 09:57 AM

Is it ok to feed the kids mac & cheese for the rest of the month??? Cuz I'm gonna be way broke this month! :)

Luckily my kids will eat Kraft Mac n Cheese all day long if you let them and some stores around me just had a good sale on it - more PTI for me!

MSBetsyZ 05-11-2010 11:10 AM

I went a wee bit crazy last month, too. The upside to that is that my son's graduation announcements were AMAZING, if I do say so myself, lol! Absolutely love that graduate set. OK, and the car set. Well, and that die for the car... <sigh> I'm gonna try not to look too much this month.

maryrose 05-11-2010 01:37 PM

Those texture plates look yummy!

SURE!!!! The kids will be happy......you'll be happy..........

DELSE 05-11-2010 02:54 PM

I thought I could live without the texture plates too because of all the Cuttlebug embossing folders I have. Then Nichole did the preview of the sunshine texture plate and I've got to have it. And the new green color, and the balloon die & stamp set. I hope I hate everything else previewed for the rest of the week or I'm in for one big PTI order this month. Thank goodness all of my kids are grown! :)

I might be able to hold off some this month. I've only bought one textured plate and have not tried it out yet, so I will not be buying more until I know for certain that I like them. Also, so far the sets are $24 which I usually have to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to order on release day. Don't know why I have no issues with the $15 or $5 sets.

I am excited about the new color, Simply Chartreuse. I wonder how close it will be to the retired SU incolor Kiwi Kiss? I loved that color.

If there are any new sets that have a coordinating stamp for last month's Mat Stack Die I, I will be a complete sucker. I really like that die shape and the stamps so far.

meluvstampin 05-11-2010 03:38 PM

I already know I am broke after this release!!!

beccabatgirl 05-11-2010 05:25 PM

So far, the stamps aren't doing it for me this month, which is a good thing I guess. I'll be spending my money on the dies and impression plates and simply chartreuse, that's for sure!

Same for me so far, but I am definitely very excited for simply chartreuse. Can you say Kiwi Kiss?!?

MSBetsyZ 05-11-2010 08:12 PM

I would love it if somebody could discuss the pros and cons of the texture plates. How do they differ in the final result when compared with the embossing folders by Provocraft and Sizzix? Or their texture plates, for that matter?

I believe PTI plates give a more subtle effect and the impression do not go thru the back of the card/paper. I do prefer this softer look over my Cuttle Bug folders. Just saving some of these impression plates purchase for CHA in July and only buying stamps for now.

I'm just dying right now that the forum isn't up so I can't chat with all you addicts about tonight's amazing posts! Ack! Going through major withdrawal here!!!

radicalposture 05-12-2010 01:53 AM

Even though I won't be buying I'm absolutely in love with the DT's posts today - all those fabulous gift ideas! I love to copy photos into my inspiration files when I see something I like and I've copied every one in today's posts. What a talented lot they are!

meluvstampin 05-12-2010 02:35 AM

I already know these are my must-haves

you can throw in a night of hot dogs or spaghetti to spice ti up and still keep on budget (stamp budget) ask me how I know

lgulotta 05-12-2010 04:01 AM

I'm another one hoping that the new color will be close to Kiwi Kiss--really wish SU had included that in the color renovation, but it's too close to Old Olive, I guess. Nichole usually has a color comparison on her blog when she releases new colors, so we'll be finding out soon!

I know I would find you girls here...I keep checking and I know when the MB is back up it will be hopping again with all the cool new things we've seen.

Bethshaya 05-12-2010 08:00 AM

I sure hope the site is up soon and working well. I'm going through detox without it.

On the bright side, I had time this morning to actually read all the blogs in detail and if not up tonight after I get home, I'm going to go back through a few of the DT's blog sites all the way back to the beginning to see all of their posts. Good way to pass the time and catch up. I'm new to stamping thanks to Santa Claus this year, so I am learning something new every night.

I'm in love with PTI. I started with a few items from SU but then found PTI in Feburary and never went back. I can't wait to see what they've done with the new site release and the new radio and video programs they are going to have.

I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas morning today.

craftymexmama 05-12-2010 08:09 AM

I was wondering if I was the only one having "forum withdrawal symptoms" I am happy I'm not alone!!
I was amazed by today's post in Nichole's blog!!

My list is getting big...I am seeing a $150.00 at least order coming on....amazing stuff...

CraftyCardShark 05-12-2010 03:36 PM

Spare a thought for us ladies in Australia (all international lovers of PTI really) and the crazy postage!!! Eek! But so worth it. I am already thinking up my food menu for the next few weeks. How many ways can I cook beans and rice? Oh, let me count the ways. Totally broke I'll be. But I must say, it makes me happy, so happy indeed, and a happy mommy/wife...is a beautiful thing, right? (well that's my story and I'm sticking to it) ;)

kathat 05-12-2010 04:11 PM

I cannot wait to place my order this month. Everything I'm seeing is blowing me away!

Sounds like our orders will be pretty close to identical! ;) Here's where I stand:

Simply Chartreuse collection
the cloud die
Sunshine Impression plate - maybe
Linen & Canvas Impression plate
Up, Up & Away stamp set
Just for You

I'm thinking about Take Three Summer because I like that flower image but not sure if I need the set for that one image. The other stamp sets look like they have some cool possibilities as usual but they're not really my cup of tea so I don't think I"ll get them - although that has been known to change as I see more samples! :D

ds2003 05-12-2010 05:46 PM

Here is my release list. I have a long wish list of other things. I need to be stopped. I just placed a $300+ PTI order earlier this week. Don't tell my DH.

Canvas and Linen Impression plate
Cloud Die
Fillable Frames 4 Stamp set and die
Simply Chartreuse stuff
A2 envelope die (maybe)

kolling143 05-13-2010 06:55 AM

So did we all read right?? That all the pigment inks will come with a refill?
