Default Provo Craft Rolling Stamps

Does anyone have one of these rolling stamps? I just bought one and I'm so disappointed because it's not working for me. The spaces between my words get inked up too, so they ruin the word I did make when I stamp it on paper. Does that even make sense? It's hard to explain, but those of you that have this rolling stamp will know what I'm talking about. Do I need to return this or is there a secret I don't know yet?

I just saw this in one of my catalogs and was planning to order it, so am interested in any answers you receive before I do. It is a great concept, so hope yours is just defective, and you can get a good one.

What surface are you stamping on? If you are using any sort of mat at all, get rid of it. This is one time when cushioning is NOT helping...it actually pushes your paper back up into the roller, allowing it to get inked in the wrong places...

I have one and it does exactly the same thing. The words are illegible because they have the letters stacked too close. They ink up the letters above and below and mucks the word you are trying to spell up! I contacted provocraft and they never did a thing for me. How annoying that they do not stand behind their product. I would recommend taking it back to the store where you bought it from and see if you can return it.
Best of luck.
