No, they aren't watercolor pencils, they are just colored pencils. Prisma is a brand that a lot of people like (including me) because the colors are vibrant and the lead is really nice. The largest set you can get is 120. After you color the paper with the pencils, if you go over your coloring with Gamsol, it blends the pencil so there aren't stroke lines and you can also blend colors together. Gamsol is a brand name of oderless Mineral Spirits.

Cool, I have a 36 pencil set of these. They weren't the watercolor ones, so I didn't think they were what everyone was talking about. These are just the colored pencils. I'll have to get some gamsol and give this a try. What do you use to 'go over' the paper with gamsol? A brush?

Use blending stumps (solid) or tortillions (rolled) to blend your OMS. You can find them at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, in the art area... I've used both and I perfer the stumps...
