Smile When people talk about Prismacolor pencils, what are they talking about?

I mean, which prismacolor pencils? The watercolor ones?

I have a set of these, that I have had for years, and have never thought about using them with stamping...

TIA!!

No, they aren't watercolor pencils, they are just colored pencils. Prisma is a brand that a lot of people like (including me) because the colors are vibrant and the lead is really nice. The largest set you can get is 120. After you color the paper with the pencils, if you go over your coloring with Gamsol, it blends the pencil so there aren't stroke lines and you can also blend colors together. Gamsol is a brand name of oderless Mineral Spirits.

Hope this helps!

Cool, I have a 36 pencil set of these. They weren't the watercolor ones, so I didn't think they were what everyone was talking about. These are just the colored pencils. I'll have to get some gamsol and give this a try. What do you use to 'go over' the paper with gamsol? A brush?

Oh, and thanks for the info regarding the pencils.

Use blending stumps (solid) or tortillions (rolled) to blend your OMS. You can find them at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, in the art area... I've used both and I perfer the stumps...

Here's a site with a picture of them (I've never ordered from here):

Here is how to blend:

I love coloring with Prisma and OMS... I think it's addicting! ;)
