Default I just did a stupid thing...HELP!

I thought that I was using the black stamp pad and I noticed that it wasn't very juicy so I decided to use the ink refills to load it up. After I did with the black ink refill I noticed that I had the chocolate chip pad instead of black. Is there anything I can do to fix my chocolate chip pad or do I have to buy a new one? Please help. I needed the CC pad today.

ooh feel your pain! Have you tried "sopping" it up with paper towel? I really don't have much to offer but I bet you are not the first, so hopefully someone will come to your rescue.

Default OUCH

Ouch! Since you reinked with a water-proof ink (black), I don't think it is fixable. You will probably have to buy another one and just add your new color to your collection: browish blackish.

Sounds like you have suffered every stampers nightmare! I've heard on here that you can rinse out the pads and reink them. The black is waterproof so it may not come out but it is worth a try. The brown probably would and if the black doesn't than maybe you could ink it with black and have an extra black pad. Just a thought. I've never tried it myself. Good luck.

I called demo support and they said that I now have 2 black ink pads. Which isn't a bad thing, but I really wanted that chocolate chip today to play. Oh well. I will be more careful next time. I tried with a paper towel, but it isn't coming out. It does make a cool color though. I may just use it instead. Thanks for your help!

Do you have a chocolate chip marker? I would just use that to draw in the stamp you want the cc on.

I've done the same thing with Night of Navy/Not Quite Navy. I just bought a new one. It is very frustrating.

do you have the choc chip re-inker??

If so you could try rinsing it out, then reinking it after you pat it dry. Thats what I would do.

I do have the re-inker, but I filled it with black and I don't think the black will rinse out, but I don't know. I will just buy a new chocolate chip pad and be more careful next time. In the mean time I now have 2 black pads which is good since I am having a stamp camp and will need at least 2 black pads. TFYH!

This sounds like it may be a common mistake. I did the same thing with gable green and green galore. I soaked the extra with the paper towel and re-inked and it has turned out fine. I think it may have been easier because they were lighter colors

I have only had to reink one of my pads so far. Getting time to get some more reinkers though. If I did have to reink, I only have a few colors.

But tonight at my stampers club one of my ladies got to talking while whe was stamping. We were using the bold brights and she accidentally put the stamp in the black and stamped right in the middle of her project. Luckily we have that SU "two sided" paper so she started over. She was just about done too.
