What does it cost to ship them to you? I can look for them at Michael's when there's a sale or coupon....but if the shipping doubles the cost, may not be worth it. I don't know of any other pencil that works as well on it's own. (w/o gamsol)

The Crayola brand colored pencils worked well for me, also. Much less expensive, too!

Default Check Viking.com

Check Viking.com for these. It may be worth paying the shipping because if you use code #QL2-3602, the 120 assorted pack is only $56.98. Maybe they'll ship to you.

While we (that is the SCS collective "we") seem to have a preference for Prismacolor the technique works with just about any color pencil. Someone already mentioned Crayola and those work.

If you have an art supply store near you check there for artist grade colour pencils. They will have more pigment and less binder in the pencils. Derwent, Faber-Castell, Lyra, and Staedtler make artist grade colour pencils which would work well.

Good luck with your search. HTH,
