Default Prisma Colors???

So, I'm very new to stampin', and I was just curious. What's the big deal about the Prisma colors? Why should I invest in those versus say, new ink, stamps, paper, etc? I've just been getting by with my "Crayola" colored pencils. Uh-Oh, I just felt some of you cringe. Could someone give me a reason to buy these, other than simple peer pressure of course. Thanks, Missy

Missy,

Go to the home page and in the upper right hand corner, look for the Weekly Inkling!

Look at the past editions. Click on the Gamsol one!

After looking through that and then looking in the Gallery, you will hopefully understand the pure beauty of Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.

HTH

I started out with Crayola pencils. For quite some time, they suited me just fine. One of the reasons I switched to the Prismacolors and the artist-quality watercolor pencils is because you can buy just one pencil if you want. One year, I made Christmas cards with my Crayolas and the lead must have been broken inside most of the box. I had to sharpen a few of the colors I was using to stubs and buy a whole new box just to get a red or gold. I ended up getting the metallic Prismacolors as singles before I bought any of the other colors. Then, later on, I decided I needed something acid free for scrapbooking (which I still haven't started but that's another story) so moved on to the Prismacolor pencils. I use their watercolors as well along with Derwent wc pencils. The Prismacolor leads are very soft and very easy to blend, with or without gamsol. Love them all!!!
