Default Printing on cardstock and it's smearing

I just tried to print directly on some green card stock (from SU!) and it's smearing. Should I spray something after I print to stop the smearing?
If so, what?

thanks
Kari

Gosh, do you mean on a printer.... like an ink jet one? I have no trouble printing on cardstock. Did you give it a chance to dry thoroughly? Sorry, I have no fixes.

Try spraying with Krylon crystal clear acrylic coating. That's exaclty what it says on the can. I used it on my last upload to make the cardstock water proof so I could use the aqua painter on it and Judylb left a comment to tell me it works for after computer printing also.
It doesn't take much of a spray, I hit it lightly with one quick spray then propped the cardstock up and cleared the nozzle onto it (turning the can upside down and spraying until clear) and it was enough.

The seal before aqua painter tip came fomr someone here at SCS about a year ago but I don't remember a name to give credit.

Immediately sprinkle some clear embossing powder on the page and emboss the ink. Did you know you could even emboss what you have written with a ballpoint pen? You just have to be quick and ready to sprinkle the embossing powder on as soon as you are finished writing.

Ohhhhhhhhhh... I like the embossing idea.

I did run to Michael's and pick up something in a spray can and that worked.
