Default What color inkers should I start with first .to start doing

I want to start making some cards using the polished stone techniques and the marbleized looks.Since there are too kinds of marble looks you can do.Theres the one where you use actual marbles and then there's the one where you use a metallic inkers and wet your glossy paper with water and lets your colors all run into one another. But not sure what colors to start out with.

What would be your siggestions on what colors to start out with and what colors would go good together.

Whatever colors you like best/use most. I am not being flip here, but you need colors that go along with your style. i used to be an Earth Elements girl, but come this time of the year lean toward Bold Brights. If you are looking at Polished Stone you need to pick the metallic you like best - I am a copper person myself.

Do you have a color family you tend to prefer? I have all the reinkers now (belong to a 6/25 and got a few at a time) but when I first went to do this I didn't have the metallic reinkers. Went to Michael's , Joanns and everyone else in town who carries crafts and no one had them, just the pads. This being said get the metallic ones (at least 1) and then if you don't have a color family you prefer , go to the PS gallery and see what colors stand out to you. Most of us have listed what reinkers we used. (You don't have to use a metallic at all if you don't want too) HTH!

I got reinkers based on which pads were dry ;) and then I use them for reinkery techniques as well ;)

I figure if my pad is dry, I use that color alot ;)

For polished stone, my favorites seem to be Night of Navy with Silver and Forest Foliage with Copper. I tried some other combinations and I wasn't thrilled with the results. Especially did not care for Red with Silver.

I just did a class using the silver, lovely lilac and orchid opulence. It turned out great.
