Question Paint cans...

Ok I have been on the galleries for DAYS now And these paint cans that ya'll have made are the neatest thing! Where do you guys get the paint cans though? I so need to know for my daughter's birthday.

We are doing a Painting theme for her 4th birthday. i have a canvas for each child to paint and take home as a party favor. i wanted to do their goody bags with paper, water colors, crayons, etc... See NO candy LOL The paint cans would be the dutestthing for this. i also thought of gettin smaller cans and filling them with candy and spilling them on the main table, each can will onlu have one color of different candies, this way it will look like different paints are spilled on the table. ;) So please share with me where you get the cans! Thanks a bunch!!

I asked this exact question a few weeks ago. Home Depot/Lowe's type stores came out to be the best/cheapest places to find them. I sent my DH to get mine, but he forgot! (Yes, I love the poor man!). From the responses I got when I asked, it sounds like they're around $3 for a big gallon size and only a buck for the little quart size.

Sounds like a FUN party--can my kids come???

Your ideas sound wonderful!! I got my paint can at Lowe's and I've heard that Home Depot carries them too. They are in the paint department. They also have the quart size that would be good for the candy spilling over. The large ones are about $3 or less. Have a great time with your party! Also, if you have any other paint stores like Sherwin Williams in your area, they will have some too. Sometimes, they will even donate them instead of making you pay for them.

What about the plastic paint buckets? I bet those would be fun to decorate for a party. They have them in different sizes as well.

I've also gotten cans from www.woodfinishingsupplies.com
Last time I checked, they had gallon cans at $1.43, quart cans at $.75 and pint cans at $.64
They shipped everything really quickly and were easy to work with.
