Default Preschool Project Ideas?

My son's preschool teacher asked me to do my son's classes preschool project for Mother's Day since I am a SU Demo. Well, I have racked my brain and I have a few ideas, but wanted to ask you all to see if you had any cute project idea suggestions. These are 3, 4 & 5 year olds. Black ink is out of the question. I was thinking maybe a bookmark card with their thumbprints making flowers on the bookmark. Any other suggestions? I am totally open to any! TIA!

Default Preschool project ideas?

I think the bookmark thing would be great! I was a preschool teacher for 10 years, and another project we did in class was to stamp those cheap white paper bags. You could have them stamp the bags, then have an adult helper turn them into a bagalope, or just use it to put the bookmarks in... Or, they could do a really easy frame (that you cut out of cardstock), and they could mount that on another sheet of cs, then their parents would be able to put a preschool picture in the frame. Good luck; this will be fun!

I have the kid inks from SU and let my kids use those. They really do wash off little fingers. What if you let them stamp a sheet of address labels and put them on nuggets, in a cell bag?

Or, you could stamp an image, and they could color it in. I had my 4 year old color in her Valentine's Day cards, and you could so totally tell it was done by a child. But she was so proud, and I was so thrilled she did it.

The bookmark is a great idea. I've always loved the creatures you can make with your hand of fingerprints. When I was a preschool teacher we did this all the time!

whatever project you decide to do, keep in mind that if you've got out different colored ink pads, that they will want to stamp (or press fingers) into each one. WITHOUT CLEANING IT IN BETWEEN. This could make a mess of your pads, but since you've got a preschooler yourself, you're probably WELL aware of this If you do want to do something with multiple colors, you could consider stations. Have fun with your project, I like your idea and will be watching for more ideas as people add on to this thread. I'm teaching a 3-4yo sunday school class and need to do a Mothers Day project as well.

I keep posting this because it seems helpful. My kids use Versamark and then pastels wuth Qtips or Daubers to stamp. Chalk washes up completely. My "P"-schooler calls this MAGIC stamping. I love the bookmark and frame ideas. My project suggestion is coupon books for hugs, kisses, picking up toys, putting shoes away, etc. Good Luck. Let us know how it goes.

Default picture

Okay, this doesn't have anything stamped in it but my daughter went to preschool day out for moms yesterday. They took a polaroid picture of the two of them together then pasted puzzle pieces around it and wrote "Love u 2 pieces" around the edge, then attached a magnet to the back. My grandson and daughter actually had to make it and it really turned out cute. You could make a couple changes and stamp something on the bottom of the picture. Come to think of it, how many people have polaroid's anymore?

I did frames once for my Kindergarten class for Mother's Day. I don't remember all of the details, but I did have them write Mom/Mommy/etc on the top of the frame and embossed it. It was so cute to see their own handwriting on the frame.
