My sweet mother passed away some years ago, and I always think so fondly of her on Mother's Day. She wasn't a cardmaker, but dearly loved receiving cards of any kind and kept every single one she ever got!
I usually send Mother's Day cards to my friends who are mothers and of course to my daughter and daughters-in-law.
Here is this year's version:

I made identical cards for my Mom and MIL...since they're thousands of miles apart it doesn't really matter. I just liked how it turned out so much that I duplicated it. Here it is:

This is the card I sent to my mother.
Usually, I make 4 mother's day cards all the same, and also send cards to DH's mother, his aunt (who was like a mother), and my sister (who is a mother). I figured they would not appreciate a picture of my mother, so I made 3 copies of a different card for everyone else.

HERE"S MINE. It's cased, but the original was so pretty I had to do it!
So many of us used Doodle This! I really REALLY hope it makes it into the catalog! It's so much fun to use!

Great thread - thanks for starting it! It's fun seeing what others are doing (and all contained neatly in one thread).
Here's mine, uploaded yesterday for a challenge:

sooo lazy
No card here... I spent 4 hrs doing yard clean up and almost $100 on annuals to clean up my (almost) elderly parents yard. My stepmother lost her daughter 2 months ago to suicide, she is very sensitive right now about mother/daughter things....
So since they can't do a lot of the heavy clean up themselves and are on a limited budget, I chose to give her a summer full of colorful annual flowers.
She did not want to choose any herself, she is a bit depressed, but seemed cheered up and appreciative of what I did.
I lost my own mother when I was 13, so it has not been a day near and dear to my heart for many years now.
Sorry so melancholy.....
JUlie
