popcorn question

does anyone know if you can send a bag of microwave pop corn through the mail??? unpoped of course! hehehe....

i just saw an awesome idea...thinking about making some today...maybe you guys have already seen it or heard about it....

you take a bag of popcorn, and make a "band" about 3 or 4 inches wide to go around it....stamp on it...make a cute picture...stick that on it...etc....and htere is a cute little card that says....just poppin' in to say happy holidays...then a card on the back that says ...happy holidays from the---family....very cute!

i'll make one up and see if i can download a picture...i'm still new to this site, and haven't tried putting up any pics...but will try....

Yes, you can send the popcorn through the mail.

Would love to see the finished project!

What a cute idea! :D You could change the wording for poppin in to say hi or happy birthday etc. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see your finished one.

Popcorn

I did this for the 30 folks I work with and they loved it! I dropped them off on each desk before they arrived at work. I did a wide band using red or green cardstock then computer generated "just poppin by..." , stamped on it then taped it around the bag.

What fun it would be to get popcorn in the mail! I never thought of that! Does anyone make a stamp that says "Just poppin by to wish you...."

These are a great idea. I just did a open house/craft show and sold all of my popcorn treats. Everyone loved the idea - pair it with video store gift certificates and it makes a great gift.

If you have the "Furnished With Love" set, you could use the phrase (without the image) "You always pop up just when I need you!" That was the first thing that came to mind when you mentioned stamping a decorative band for the popcorn package!

I have used the cloud stamp from one of my sets to stamp popcorn. I use it at open houses and the like "Thanks for Poppin' in" kind of thing.

I made them for my preschoolers' friends with their picture on it..very cute. We also mailed them to all their 'twin friends' and mailed them in the mail without incident. It cost 83 cents per envelope I believe and that was the mini bags from Orville Redenbaucher.... :D
