Polyshrink
What do you use to color in your polyshrink? The markers dont work very well for it, they smudge.

Hi, I use my chalks and then once they are shrunk(?) I use Versamark and EP to seal them. Otherwise everything that I have used has smudged to some extent.

coloring on polyshrink
I know in the past I had an "issue" with coloring on polyshrink. I made the God Bless America flag in polyshrink, colored it with SU markers and shrunk them and made them into cute pins. A friend told me that she went to put the pin on (she had wet fingers at the time) and the color came off in her hands!!! Yikes! Since then I have been very careful to use only permanent ink for all the coloring.
I usually use staz-on for the stamped part and then color in with Adirondack pens. They have lots of colors that work well with SU but I highly recommend doing a sample piece of shrink art with all the colors on it (they vary greatly from the color on the cap, for example their "raisin" is comparable to SU ruby red). I glued the sample piece of shrink art colors on the container I keep the pens in so that is always handy for color matching. Good luck finding just the right colors -- that are permanent! Susy |
Thanks! I used the markers too, and yikes! I used Sharpies, but when it shrunk it was so dark it did not look nice.

Chalk ink, Colorbox crafters ink, colored pencils and chalks.
In a pinch I'll use sharpies, too, but I don't love the look. |
