Default Being able to cut a 2 1/2 center cut frame?????

I have a project that I will be using a 4" frame with a 2 1/2" center cut. Does anyone have any ideas how I can achieve this? I thought about using the square punch and punch 4 times, one in each corner.... but I was wondering if you ladies would be able to come up with something easier. I looked at the Giga square punch and it is only 2". Do any of the die cut machines have anything that size that I could use?
Thanks for your help

Do you have one of those fiskars grey & orange cutters? Or I would think any cutter with acutting guide that lifts. You can start a cut in the middle of the paper with them - I do this all the time when I mat photos and then I save the scrap to use for other items.

Default creating keepsakes.com

Take a look at the Creating Keepsakes website. In the video gallery, Erin Lincoln has a short "lesson" on Cutting Basics. Her cutting method should work for either inside or outside cutting.
Also, it could save you heaps of $$s to get a clear ruler like the one she uses.

To get the inside square centered, draw diagonal lines from corner to corner and make an "x" on the back of your big square.

Your inside square will be centered as long as each corner touches a diagonal line.

I hope this makes sense. It's a lot easier to understand if you see someone actually do it.

What about using the Coluzzle square template? I believe it allows you to cut a 2" ++ square.
