Default FYI-Small/Odd Shaped envelopes could be returned by the PO.

Just a quick note. A friend of mine used an odd size envy 3" x 6 3/4" (what I thought would be an adequate size-about an 1" longer than a check) and it was returned to her as non-mailable. It was stamped "Return to sender, envelopes and cards less than 3 1/2" x 5" are non-mailable". So, even though only one side was 1/2" shorter than their stated 3 1/2, it got returned. Bummer.

FYI

I've also been told that if you want a card to go through the post office in normal time don't stamp on the front of the envelope. It can take as much as 5 days longer if you stamp on the front.

Holy Cow! I don't even want to think how many of my cards have been late for this reason....Ouch! I'll ask my PO about that and see if they can shed any light on why that is. Think of all the junk mail you get with writing all over the front of the envy.
