Please help me with this card

Ok, I love all the elements of this card, but don't like how they came together. Can one of you brilliant ladies out there help me, please??

I love the colors - how about changing the white ribbon to pink? I think it would make the rest of the pink in the card pop.

And I just thought of another thing - how about a brad in the center of the flower?

Hmmm, no pink ribbon, but I could dye some.
Thanks Steph....how have you been on here so long and have so few posts? Get talking, girl!

I would hang the tag from the ribbon and maybe put the flower on a corner of the tag - basically create a main focal point on the card. I love the colors and the use of the print pattern for the background.

My first thought is that the card base seems so dark compared to the other elements. What if you used one of the lighter colors for the base but still stamp the Print Pattern in eggplant and use eggplant CS for one of the punched flowers? HTH!

The tag looks un-anchored. I would suggest having the tag "hang" from the ribbon and even adhere the pretty little flower detail to the tag. Then you have one focal point.

The main card color might be a little dark as well ... maybe something a little bit lighter might make it more cohesive?

And I agree - all the elements are really pretty!

Thanks for all your comments. I decided to stick with the dark background (mostly since I already had several stamped that way and I love the color.) Here is what is my final product for this swap. Again, thank you SO much for your advice.

It really came together well, April! Can I offer one more tiny suggestion? I really like how the lighter elements pop off of the eggplant BG, but maybe you could add one more piece of Lavender Lace as the base? I think that would tie all the lighter elements together and ground them on the card!

I'm sure everyone will love your card -- I know I'd be tickled to get it!

Ooo...Rachel, that's a great idea, too. Unfortunately, I am all but out of Lavender Lace. I had to hunt for scraps big enough to punch for the tags & flowers.

Darn. You made those scraps work well!

Hey, if you've got time before your swap's due I'll send ya some! I just ordered a new pack back in June when I was stocking up on CS so I've got plenty, and you're not all that far away!
