Question SAB redemption - what to pick?

Okay, so I went a little crazy during the last SAB. (It was my first SAB.) So now I can pick any stamp set for free for my SAB Redemption bonus. And I can't decide. I'm torn between a set that I know I will use but costs just under $30, or getting the most bang for my buck with a $43 alphabet set. I'm looking at either the Lovely Letters set or the Jayne's Type set. I don't have enough stamping experience to know if I will really use an alphabet set much. Any advice from experienced stampers?

First off, what's SAB??? lol Am I missing out on something great???

If it were me I'd want to get the best bang for my buck. I have some alpha stamp sets. I don't use them as often as my regular image stamps but I still like to have them.

SAB stands for Sale-A-Bration, Stampin' Up's annual promotion where for every $50 you spend you get to pick a free stamp set from their special SAB catalog. In addition to that, when you get into the larger sums of money being spent you get SAB redemption rewards, that for me means I get to pick any stamp set from the current catalog, which has to be done by July 15th.

I hope I explained that well enough, being a relative newbie myself.

You should really join the demo forums (there's a link to the left to join a group) as your business questions are more likely to be answered there and there happens to be a thread about this very topic! There is a ton of other great info for newbies as well!

As for advice, get something you LOVE and will use...not something you "think" might be a good choice. I always make my wish list and then figure out what is the most expensive set I HAVE to have. This year I got letter it. Good luck choosing! Hope to see you on the demo forums as well!

Ok I have an alpha set and have only used it a few time but LOVE it and am glad I have it. But if your new to stamping I think I'd get one you would use. Either way how exciting!

I have Lovely Letters and LOVE it. Sure it's not something you use everyday but it makes beautiful monograms and I've used it to spell words like NOEL and JOY at Christmas and LOVE at Valentine's Day. If you're trying to grow your business and want a stamp set to demo though you might be better off picking something else.
