Penny black question....

are her stamps deeply etched? Are they mounted nicely?

I wanted to get some but want to make sure they're okay in that aspect ;)

Kimberly, I have a bunch of PB stamps and I love them...they are mounted very neatly...no hanging rubber or off center that I've ever seen. The stamps make clean, crisp impressions with no ink from the sides like I sometimes get with my SU stamps from rocking them on the ink pad.

If you want, I can send you some samples from the ones that I have and you could judge for yourself!! Just let me know! :)

Sounds great! Thanks for the offer, but just knowing they are good is all I needed! :)

I have several Penny Black stamps and I think they are excellent quality - unlike with some other brands I have never struggled to get a crisp, clean impression

Yep, they're good! Comparable to SU.

BTW, I don't know which ones you're looking for, but Frugalities has a decent selection, and everything is 25% with code FRCKNSNDS through March.

Do a search for "Penny Black stamps" and you'll see what they have.

Trish.... WOOT! great prices! Thanks!

I love Penny Black stamps and I've never been disappointed with the quality. I have a very small album in my gallery devoted just to PB stamps and I used some of the images in my regular gallery too. (I just haven't figured out how to move them to the album yet.) The larger stamps are great for the taller cards that Rox gave us for a challenge a few weeks ago. Happy shopping MamaKimberly! :)

I've got some- closely and neatly trimmed and mounted- much better than I can do on my own with the SU sets! Nice cushion, and deeply etched rubber to get a crisp print.

I have to ditto what everyone said. I have lots of PB stamps, probably about 30 of them. Mostly hedgies! I'll have to check out frugalities, but I also buy them at www.addictedtorubberstamps.com when they have a 10% off of PB sale. btw, their site is secure now, which had been a concern in the past.

Penny Black ROCKS!!! I *love* their stuff!!! The samples in their ads always make me drool!!!

Ditto...love Penny Black...I buy 'em and then they sit 'cause I can't demo with them! :(

WillStamp4Food 03-06-2006 10:20 AM

I have a few and they are very nice!

emilymomto3boys 03-06-2006 10:33 AM

ugh, mamak is evil. I just spent $50 of stamps (3 penny black florals and some words from various ones) that I DO NOT need. I have been so good with only buying SU....only to keep my budgeting in line! Now this!

JulieHRR 03-06-2006 11:18 AM

That site is wonderful, Trish! TFS! I have bookmarked it!

Emily--you've been assimilated into the PB Borg. There is no hope for you now. Resistance is futile. ;)

I am divvying up our order totals, Em.... shipping was a BEAST, but it was pretty cheap with that coupon code! I have been eyeballing that 'sending you sunshine' from a muse and it was 5.10 after discount!
